Tamae Mochizuki
Hayashi Performer (Born in Kanazawa)
She was born into a family with a long tradition of hogaku (traditional music). Taught by her grandmother and mother, she made her stage debut at the age of three.
She studied nagauta (traditional songs) under Kisaburo Kineya, a Living National Treasure, and hayashi (instrumental accompaniment) under Tazaemon Mochizuki and Bokusei Mochizuki. She actively collaborates across genres and performs throughout Japan.
